Card Toppers Using Distress Ink Tutorial

Saturday, 30 January 2010

Following the tutorial on Crafty Cardmakers I coloured a black and white patterned paper with broken china and tattered rose distress inks. I spritzed with water with angel dust mica in, but the lustre does not show on the photo. I wanted to break up the large design and so I overstamped with antique plum and antique gold dewdrop chalk pads and a sunray and medallion rubber stamp which I tend to use for backgrounds. I then die cut them into tags to create these card toppers!

Birthday Card

Another birthday i created by simply stamping onto a piece of white card which I coloured blue using a sponge to get a mottled effect.

Challenge 13: Hearts and Romance

I created this card using embossing to create the hearts and then created a piece of faux metal for the rectangle backing card by embossing a piece of mirri card in an embossing folder. Then rubbed in a small amount of white acrylic paint, rubbed off the surplus with kitchen towel and applied a chalk based ink for the colour before sealing with clear varnish. Take from the Craft Stamper Magazine December 09!
